About
Harish Bijoor is a Brand-thinker & practitioner who runs a unique boutique-consulting outfit called ‘Harish Bijoor Consults Inc.’, a brand name that has a consulting presence across the markets of Hong Kong, Seattle, London, Istanbul, Dubai & the Indian sub-continent.
He has spent his career across the aggressive realms of FMCG, Telecom & Consumer Durables & is considered a Brand domain specialist who is ahead of the consumer thinking curve, year on year.
He has spent the last 20 years teaching at the Indian School of Business's Hyderabad and Mohali campuses, as well as at other international business schools in US and Europe.
Harish has worked with Hindustan Unilever Limited, Tata Global Beverages Limited, and Zip Telecom Limited over his 2 decades in a distinguished Corporate career.
Harish is an active participant in the world of coffee in India, serving on numerous active coffee forums and delivering lectures on the subject both in India and internationally. He serves on the Coffee Board of India, which is overseen by the Union Ministry of Commerce.
Harish is an active member of the Plantations sub-committee of the Planning Commission for the formulation of the XIth Five year Plan(2007-12).
Harish published his first book titled, Marketing Trends – Smart Insights into the world of Indian Business, a serious book written in a style that is distinctly young and ‘MTV-ish’!
His second book, Brand Irrationals: a Fundamental Journey into Brand-Think, is on core branding, and he has also been hired to create a book about ‘Customer Service processes’ at work in modern marketing contexts.
Harish is actively involved in research relating to Rural Consumer Behavior, Rural Retail Networks & Trade mechanisms at play. He is currently involved in a 6-year research project that involves 84,850 consumers from across India.
Harish Bijoor contributes regularly to Business publications on Branding, sales, distribution and related topics.
Harish’s company works in Technology, ITES, Biotech, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Durables, Entertainment, Education, Media and allied categories.
